Hello, That was first change that I`ve made. I used to not switch off the laptop while using Windows XP, so I tried to set Ubuntu into the same way. Hello, Right now it is works like that: closing the lid switch off display - it gets black, but backlight is still active. As the suspend crashes system, I have a problem to test suspending, I will change behaviour to another action and follow your instructions. Results will be at monday. In SystemPreferencesPower Management - there are options to change the configuration of what happens when the laptop screen is closed. Can you check that the actions are not set to 'do nothing.'
