I assume -8 WLAN should break, if you try set 'cfg80211 ieee80211_regdom=EU' in modprobe.d, causing cfg80211 loading to fail due to unknown parameter And that this is expected behaviour after 'CONFIG_WIRELESS_OLD_REGULATORY=n'. I had time to dig deeper and this breaks WLAN in -8, works fine in -7 options cfg80211 ieee80211_regdom=EU This allows use of channels 12 and 13.
