Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase
I'm currently running a live CD of Kubuntu Jaunty RC4. I've booted into this live system by going to Install, then Quit. I don't think this matters a lot, since that makes you boot into a real system as if you chose that option, just mentioning it though. When I clicked Install from the desktop again a moment ago, then clicked Quit, the screen went black for a moment and then it came back up, I'm not sure why that happened. I'm also not sure if that has anything to do with this, but I'm just mentioning this too. Then when I just modified the height of the panel at the bottom, a large part of my desktop went black. I can see the panel, and the top of my desktop including the Desktop Folder, and my windows go on top of the black parts, but I can't really see any icons in the Desktop Folder anymore, for example. I'll attach a screenshot. I'm sorry this bug report can't be of more help, I'm reporting this now because I'm afraid I won't be able to reproduce it after the reboot since I'm not completely sure what exactly caused this. I'm just letting you know now, before this ends up in the final release. :-) Please correct me if I've filed the bug report against the wrong package, too.
