[Bug 340632] Re: When running OpenOffice 3.0 in Ubuntu Jaunty, The application cannot be started. The user interface language cannot be determined.
I can't reproduce this problem with Jaunty openoffice.org 1:3.0.1-4ubuntu1. You mentioned something about other fixes for other releases? What are those I haven't heard of any other problems related to this on other releases... Just FTR, another such bug (see my original report for why I reported it as a new one): https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/165284 -- When running OpenOffice 3.0 in Ubuntu Jaunty, The application cannot be started. On Hardy, IIRC, it was necessary to chmod and chown the .openoffice.org2 directory. The .openoffice.org directory I have has all permissions set fine. However, I've rebooted now and it works fine now. Hummm, the only change I made regarding OpenOffice was installing -java-common, but that didn't fix it immediately. Maybe it was related to some update I did in the same session. Don't know, but I'm setting this bug to Invalid for now... :) ** Changed in: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Invalid -- When running OpenOffice 3.0 in Ubuntu Jaunty, The application cannot be started.
