[Bug 342447] Re: Bluetooth mouse connection in Jaunty drops when resuming from a low power state
Confirmed on a MacBook2,1 with a Mighty Mouse. The only way to get the mouse working after booting or resuming from sleep is to delete the device and add it again. ** Summary changed: - Bluetooth mouse connection in Jaunty drops when resuming from a low power state + Bluetooth mouse connection in Jaunty not working at startup and drops when resuming from a low power state -- Bluetooth mouse connection in Jaunty not working at startup and drops when resuming from a low power state https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/342447 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 342447] Re: Bluetooth mouse connection in Jaunty drops when resuming from a low power state
I have the same problem, everything worked fine until an update to the bluetooth packages. My mouse is a logitech V470. Nothing seems to get the mouse working again other than deleting it and adding it again. -- Bluetooth mouse connection in Jaunty drops when resuming from a low power state https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/342447 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 342447] Re: Bluetooth mouse connection in Jaunty drops when resuming from a low power state
I'm not sure of the protocol here and I'm aware this is run by volunteers (i guess) but nothing seems to have moved on this subject. It's making the use of 9.04 untenable (along with Intel issues etc.) It all worked fine before in 8.04 and 8.10. can no one solve this problem? thanks -- Bluetooth mouse connection in Jaunty drops when resuming from a low power state https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/342447 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 342447] Re: Bluetooth mouse connection in Jaunty drops when resuming from a low power state
I used to have this problem on Intrepid when I first switched to linux in february. I somehow found a solution that worked and promptly forgot about it. fast forward to now. I migrated to Jaunty and it still seemed to work. until an update a couple days ago which updated the bluetooth packages. Ever since that update I have the following symptoms again with both a dell travel bluetooth mouse and a logitech MX900.: connect the mouse leave it untouched for a small while (I think 5 minutes are enough) try to move the mouse again Expected: after a few seconds the cursor starts moving according to the mouse movements again Actual: nothing happens despite searching for a few hours, I have been unable to find the fix I used back then. I know I didn't write the device mac address in a config file, because that would have worked with the MX900 which I started using with this laptop about a month ago (but before upgrading to jaunty and it used to work fine too) please advise ... -- Bluetooth mouse connection in Jaunty drops when resuming from a low power state https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/342447 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I'm not sure this is really a duplicate from #329443 cause ubuntu never ask me for any authorization. *** This bug is a duplicate of bug 329443 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/329443 It is not a duplicate as the problem is different. I don't see anything about an authorization request. What happens is the connection breaks after resume from sleep or when you restart. There are no warnings etc. the mouse is still under connected devices but it is no more connected... Thanks! Status in “bluez” source package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Binary package hint: bluez Version: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch) 9.04 Every time the computer resumes from sleep mode the bluetooth mouse drops connection. It is still listed in the connected devices but no response. The only remedy seems to be deleting the connection and re-connecting. I used the same mouse with Ubuntu 8.10 and didn't have this problem. I'm not sure if it's related to the applet or directly to the bluez stack but I guess the latter. Thanks!
