I am actually on the Ubuntu Karmic live CD right now at my school with the WPA2 Enterprise wireless access points, and I am afraid that I still have the same problem, it refuses to connect to the network, and in the logs it just shows it associating then disconnected right after. I do not have time at the moment to try ubuntu again on my laptop, but school ends soon and then I will be able to But, there is news on the kernel.org bug report I linked to this, he had me try some commands that turned off network manager and tried to connect with ifconfig, and i WAS able to connect, so it is unknown if it is a network manager bug or whatever from the bug report: " Sorry, totally swamped with school work. I think it is a bug with either the supplicant or mlme not being able to work well with the long scan times in ath5k. This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest Karmic 9.10 release of Ubuntu? I can also confirm this - ath5k works with WPA2 personal but *not* with WPA2 Enterprise. In fact if you try to add a new wireless network by clicking on the NetworkManager icon --> Create new Wireless Network, you don't even get the option of WPA2 Enterprise in the Wireless security drop down menu. This is a regression as far as I am concerned - it used to work in Intrepid (although the signal strength wasn't that great).
