[Bug 34582] Re: right clicking switches page direction.

2008-07-24 Thread Robert Pollak
As a small improvement (less surprise for inexperienced users), one can
disable bidirectional text:

1) Type "about:config" into the address bar.
2) In the "Filter:" text box, type "bidi"
3) The "bidi.browser.ui" entry was set to "true" in the "value" column. To
change it to "false", right-click on this entry and select "Toggle".
4) Restart Firefox.

After doing all this, the "Switch page direction" context-menu entry has
disappeared.

(Copied from http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=619481)

Now the last menu entry is "Page Info" or "Properties", whose windows
can be closed by pressing Escape.

2008-06-30 Thread Rui Boon
Besides switching page direction, does the right click activate any
other options like opening the link in a new tab/windows? If so, it is
likely to be related to bug 187313

well this needs to marked as affecting something somewhere... cause
letting [EMAIL PROTECTED] like this fly under the radar is why windows & osx are
superior products.

But since this bug can only be replicated under 2 of the 8 default
Ubuntu themes (namely Human and Glossy), this is probably a theme issue
and should be reassigned or refiled to that category.

Confirmed for Epiphany web browser. This bug is also absent in Nautilus,
Gedit, GIMP, Terminal, and OpenOffice.org Writer. As far as I can tell,
this is specific to Firefox (and Thunderbird).

this bug appears on the ubuntu firefox builds & the mozilla firefox builds (2.0

tho it's not always switch page direction. it depends on what the bottom item
in the menu is.
