I recently tested a fresh install of xubuntu on my first partition and the same errors as documented above occurred. Mine seems to be 1020LA Also my Ubuntu partition is sda2, Could this have something to do with it? I'm using ext4 now but there're problems with resizing an ext4 partition. I didn't see any output at all. Note that I own the 1120NR version, I don't know which is yours. A fresh install might work, hopefully. Interesting, do you get any output on the screen before the hibernate process completes? My install is an upgrade from 8.10 and I've already noticed that several bugs are still there even though that's not the case with a 9.04 fresh install. Therefore I will test if hibernate works on my machine with a fresh 9.04 install. I recently did a reinstall of ubuntu 9.04, and I have now enough swap to hibernate. I just gave it a try. I have an off the shelf HP Mini 1030 from best buy - bought it 2 days ago. I tried to hibernate but the laptop turned off, I think, because when I turned it on, it went through grub and all that... Didn't see any errors though.
