[Bug 350838] Re: cannot detect headphone
There's a fix given further down that thread that worked on Hardy and should apply to Intrepid too. I quote: just add this line: options snd-hda-intel model=vaio In the file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base. And restart. -- cannot detect headphone https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/350838 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Status in Ubuntu: New Bug description: A friend of mine uses a SONY-VAIO Model: VGN-Z13GN. The machine has a dual boot with Windows and Intrepid. However, the machine cannot detect the headphones. We tried the fix described in http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-637799.html but they don't help since linux-backports-modules-generic is not available any more. Please suggest a fix for this problem.
