** Summary changed:
- qemu-img convert: error while reading
+ qemu corrupts qcow2 image
** Description changed:
Binary package hint: qemu
- I try to recompress a qcow2 image that apparently is perfectly working,
- but qemu'img writes out about 60kB and, after about ten seconds spits an
- error. This is the first time this happens, few days ago I had used
- regularly this same command to compress old versions of this image.
+ Qemu 0.10.0 occasionally corrupts qcow2 images. The problem should be
+ solved in 0.10.2.
- This is qemu 0.10.0 from Jaunty. If necessary, I could provide the
- image.
+ This is how I observed it the first time:
$ qemu-img convert -c -O qcow2 wxpsp3-wlm-noacpi.qcow
wxpsp3-wlm-noacpi.copia.qcow
qemu-img: error while reading
$ qemu-img info wxpsp3-wlm-noacpi.qcow
