Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
When trying to connect to an FTP server (Version: Mac OS X Server 10.3.9 003 - +GSSAPI) using 64-bit Ubuntu 8.10, Nautilus fails, telling me: "Could not display "ftp://server.host.ext/Folder. Error: Invalid reply Please select another viewer and try again." However, I am able to connect to this same server using 'ftp' at the CLI, gFTP and using a 32-bit laptop with Nautilus. My other 64-bit desktop has the same problem. I am able to connect to other FTP sites in both 64 and 32-bit versions, for example: ftp://ftp.arsc.edu ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/nautilus NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: nautilus 1:2.24.1-0ubuntu2 ProcEnviron: PATH=/home/username/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: nautilus Uname: Linux 2.6.27-11-generic x86_64 ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug -- Cannot connect to FTP server from 64-bit https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/353895 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
