[Bug 358646] Re: [LG Electronics LW20-CDMV2] suspend/resume failure
@Andre, I was wondering if you had any success with my suggested workarounds in comment #4. If I don't hear anything back in a couple of weeks I will close the bug. -- [LG Electronics LW20-CDMV2] suspend/resume failure https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/358646 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 358646] Re: [LG Electronics LW20-CDMV2] suspend/resume failure
I haven't gotten around to it yet. I only have the Ubuntu system in question as a ghost file right now so it's a little messy. I'll try it as soon as I get the time though. -- [LG Electronics LW20-CDMV2] suspend/resume failure https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/358646 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 358646] Re: [LG Electronics LW20-CDMV2] suspend/resume failure
@Andre, it may be worth editing /etc/default/acpi-support (using sudo) and adding in the names of these modules inside the quotes on the MODULES= line, e.g.: MODULES=sbp2 ohci1394 ..then test suspend-resume and see if this works around the problem. Please let me know if this helps. -- [LG Electronics LW20-CDMV2] suspend/resume failure https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/358646 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 358646] Re: [LG Electronics LW20-CDMV2] suspend/resume failure
@Colin, dmesg output attached as you requested. Thanks for looking into this. I made an observation -- resuming works perfectly when my external hd (firewire) is not attached. The only modules are loaded when I attach it is sbp2 and ohci1394. Is this helpful? ** Attachment added: dmesg.txt http://launchpadlibrarian.net/30852491/dmesg.txt -- [LG Electronics LW20-CDMV2] suspend/resume failure https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/358646 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 358646] Re: [LG Electronics LW20-CDMV2] suspend/resume failure
@Andre, Looks like a faulty driver is breaking the resume. Please can you follow through the debugging steps as described in: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend Please attach the dmesg output once you have rebooted the machine so that I can check to see which driver is causing the problem.
