Daniel: Please take a look at the very first line of my bug. My bug is a
report against Jaunty. In 8.10 on my laptop I did not have the problem,
I've upgraded my desktop to 9.04 and do have the problem.

I know it's against jaunty. I need you to reproduce the symptom in a
pristine environment, hence the need for a live cd.
