To reproduce it: 1) Install the libavcodec52 (this will remove the unstripped one) 2) Try to install dvdstyler This will install dvdstyler, but will also uninstall the libavcodec52 and others apps with this dependency (qdvdauthor, mandvd...) Hi, DVDStyler needs the unstripped version of libavcodec to work correctly (because of mpeg2 encoding), so the fix you are proposing will let a non working dvdstyler. All app that depends on libavcodec52 have been recompiled to also depends on unstripped (the dependency is generated as libavcodec52 (= 3:0.svn20090128-1) | libavcodec-unstripped-52 (= 3:0.svn20090128-1). If installing dvdstyler uninstall other applications, that because they hasn't been recompiled properly.
