This is a bug about 3 different things at least, which I know probably doesn't help much. First problem is the merge grub menu.lst file thing, when I try to pick merge or whatever the option is called, it fails, I kind of expect that since it says it's experimental, is I try to help but picking it and reporting it. Next thing, because the merge fails, the update failed. Last thing, HP Deskjet 882C Printer, not working, complaints about cups server errors and scheduler. I have since upgraded to the latest 9.04 Final Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope version and printing still does not work on this computer, but does work on the computer to the left of this one, on the same network. I have tried only plugging in this computer, and have tried both lpt port and usb port, it doesn't wanna work on this computer. Bug auto picked title, but problems include printing and grub menu. Probably 3 different bug reports at least, but something real easy for some else that knows what there doing. I'm slightly confused with this bug report. The bug title and attached dbug files indicate a bug regarding upgrading: Specifically DpkgTerminalLog.gz shows: Merging changes into the new version Conflicts found! Please edit `/var/run/grub/menu.lst' and sort them out manually. The file `/var/run/grub/menu.lst.ucf-new' has a record of the failed merge of the configuration file. User postinst hook script [/sbin/update-grub] exited with value 3 That error indicates this is a duplicate of bug 269539. However, reading the bug description and additional comments, this seems to be about a printer issue? So can you clarify which bug this is about?
