I am suffering from this issue after updating to Ubuntu 11.10. Tab key gets stuck after Cltr+Tab and repeats quickly until I hit Tab again. This bug is returned for me in Karmic fresh install after ~1 week of usage. Maybe it returns after I add two locales (en + ru) or after add "KDE Keyboard Layout Switcher" to the tray. xkb switcher hotkey is "Alt+Shift", but without adding 2 locales in KDE system settings, I didn't see this bug in my system. I have upgrade the system to Karmic (not fresh install, but upgrade from Jaunty) and this problem is still exists. I didn't use compiz, I use Kubuntu with default windows manager. This bug reproduces sometimes, not every time, but 5-30 times a day (alt-tab pressed more than 1000 times per day).
