I checked with the new version 0.8.7. The problem is solved, me-tv
saves dvb-t shows even if there is a / in the station name.

Again thanks for the quick help!

That did it. I had changed all the parameters, with one exception: I
only tried to save a show from ARTE/Eins plus on disk. Now I tried to
save from 3sat and it worked.

Thanks a lot for your help!!!

2009-04-25 Thread Michael Lamothe
Please attach a verbose log (-v) where you try to record a program.

Also, run this `gconftool-2 -g /apps/me-tv/recording_directory` and tell
me what it says. You say that you checked the directories, is that
correct?

Finally, did the program that you were trying to record have any special
characters in it.

This appeared when I did run gconftool-2 -g /apps/me-
tv/recording_directory:

/media/Windows_L/TV

It refers correctly to my tv directory.

I tried to save a lot of TV shows, most of them didn't have any special
carracters in their name.

And yes, I tried to change the directory several times, created new
ones, checked the permissions (everyone, including guests, has the right
to access, red and write), tried it on ext3 and ntfs file systems.

Pretty strange.

Best regards,
Dieter

[Bug 366589] Re: Me TV does not save DVB-T shows on disk after upgrade to jaunty

2009-04-25 Thread Michael Lamothe
Ok, the issue is obvious, there's a / in filename, I think that it's
coming from the channel name. Are you telling me that all your channels
are labeled this way.

I think that I have already addressed this issue, you should try the
latest, https://launchpad.net/~me-tv-development/+archive/ppa.
