*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 369751 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/369751
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I have filed a request for sync bug (which I will mark this as a duplicate of) to ask that the newer version of opencascade is pulled from Debian and into Ubuntu. Please be aware that this package, if accepted, will be destined for the next release, Karmic Koala. In order to ensure the Ubuntu system remains stable, updates to a stable release are kept to a minimum and are generally for bug fixes and security issues. If and when the opencascade package is updated from Debian you may ask that it is backported to Jaunty. Steps and information may be viewed at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports#How%20to%20request%20new%20packages If you feel you need to update and are willing to use a completely unsupported and generally untested package (it builds, it installs, it removes), I have uploaded this package to my PPA at https://launchpad.net/~stupendoussteve/+archive/ppa - If you do decide to use this package I suggest you set up the PPA in your apt sources (temporarily), rather than downloading the .deb files themselves, as this will ensure the package manager installs required dependencies. Please note many of the names of the binaries have changed from the current stable (opencascade-tools has been split, many of the packages now include a -6.3.0 suffix), because of this I suggest you remove the stable packages beforehand. The package version is such that if Ubuntu releases an official package of the same version, it will be updated to their package. Once again, thank you for the report! ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 369751 Sync opencascade 6.3.0.dfsg.1-3 (multiverse) from Debian unstable (main). -- Out of date https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/369045 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
