@TylerJ, the issue is caused when third-party applications get information from Banshee via dbus. I've heard reports of this happening with the Music Applet for gnome-panel, Panflute, the Music Plugin for Cairo Dock, and the Pidgin music-tracker plugin. Using Banshee 1.5 from the PPA I cannot reproduce this error, do you have any other means to attempt to reproduce this bug? I figure I should have said this on the report too, oh well.. No, it's not a disc and not drive problem. I've tried several discs and all working flawlessly in Rhythmbox, which is what I have always used, by the way. Hmm, a broken pipe error. I've only ever seen that when my CD drive wasn't working correctly. Can you test in a different program (e.g. Totem) to see if the problem happens there?
