Public bug reported:

Sound driver keeps changing on reboot, sometimes Autodetect works,
sometimes HDA Intel works, sometimes ALSA works, sometimes OSS works,
etc. Sometimes sound even works after a couple of reboot.

Autodetect fails most of the time.

This sort of thing has been happening since I used Ubuntu 7. I recently
switched to Ubuntu 9.04 in hope that this would have been fixed.
Unfortunately the problem persist.

I'm not sure if my hardware has anything to do with it since sound actually
works when it does.
I'm also not sure what data to get and how to get it to help you, so please let
me know what to do if you need more information. (I assumed I can't use any
application Help - Report a Problem on this one)

Thanks.
