This is normal, you need to run gcompris -f to run it in full screen. ** Changed in: gcompris (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- gcompris does not start in fullscreen after upgrade to jaunty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/378988 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 378988] Re: gcompris does not start in fullscreen after upgrade to jaunty
FYI -- I ran into this issue on a new Mint 7 install (based on jaunty), and found a solution on the forums at: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1123781 Short version -- There is a missing package dependency in the jaunty gcompris package. It needs package 'python-numeric', which is not installed when you install gcompris. To fix, open a terminal, and enter: sudo apt-get install python-numeric or install the python-numeric package with Synaptic. *** NOTE FOR PACKAGE MAINTAINER *** According to the discussion thread, the version in the jaunty repository is out of date, and the current version does not require python-numeric to function. It may be desirable to just repackage the current version instead of fixing this dependency. -- gcompris does not start in fullscreen after upgrade to jaunty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/378988 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
