YMMV. In the meanwhile, someone has suggested adding these lines to the /etc/X11/xorg.conf configuration file, in the "Device" section (mine looks like this): Section "Device" Identifier "Configured Video Device" Driver "intel" Option "AccelMethod" "uxa" Option "EXAOptimizeMigration" "true" Option "MigrationHeuristic""greedy" EndSection (It's been a while so I don't know who to attribute this to). This might or might not work for you.
