OK, thanks, so now we're sure this is a bug in the proprietary NVIdia driver. If the text problem is still occurring with the new proprietary driver, you may want to report a new bug about that. It's best to go directly to NVidia's bug tracker since Ubuntu developers don't have access to the source code, and can only package versions released by upstream. The problem of the page shape not being drawn correctly is an old bug in OpenOffice.org which I don't think is linked with your driver. With the free driver these problems do not occur at all. When I have the driver on at random times the text on a page may not appear so you have to scroll the page around till the text appears. Again, please be a little more constructive. If you want to help us making Ubuntu better, you have to understand that this kind of remark won't get your problem fixed. Providing detailed information in well- formed sentences will always give the developers more will to help you than random complaints. What do you mean by "the program is no bearable"? Do you refer to the "text on the text document not appearing till I scroll the page" as you said earlier? If so, and since it looks like it's a separate bug, please open a new report as you did the first time, and provide a screenshot of the issue if possible, describing in detail what happens. You may want to post a link to the new bug here so that we can link them if they are somewhat related. But before that, I'd still like you to try to reproduce this second bug using the *free NVidia* driver. The icons problem was defiantly fixed, but I'm still having the problem with the text on the text document not appearing till I scroll the page.
