Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdeadmin

If I run with root privileges, I can create persistent configurations. I do not see any configuration files written to my home directory when system-config-printer-kde completes. I do see a notification box appear and quickly disappear (too quickly to read, I'm afraid) the first time I save the configuration. After that the box never reappears. Also .xsession-errors contains entries like these when s-c-p-k is launched: kcmshell(3619) KServiceFactory::findServiceByDesktopPath: "findServiceByDesktopPath: kcm-scpk.desktop not found" I can solve the problem by editing the Printer Configuration entry in kmenuedit to require root privileges. I was, frankly, puzzled that they weren't required to begin with. ** Affects: kdeadmin (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- printer configuration lost after reboot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/383269 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdeadmin in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
