[Bug 384452] Re: why do i have to run sudo dhclient eth0 everytime i had to got to internet
Hello IanW Thanks for responding to my question I believe this is not a bug . I should have put it in the different category. When I installed i have used pppoe connection using pppoeconf ( i have installed in my friends house) At my home i have ADSL broadband connection . When i turn on the modem i am connected to internet This may be the reason ubuntu not able to recognise the modem unless i do sudo dhclient eth0 Thanks a lot anyway I reiterate this is not a bug kamal -- why do i have to run sudo dhclient eth0 everytime i had to got to internet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/384452 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 384452] Re: why do i have to run sudo dhclient eth0 everytime i had to got to internet
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read How to report bugs effectively http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures At a minimum, we need: 1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem, including the method you used to install 9.04 and the steps you take to connect to the network, 2. the behavior you expected, and 3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). Thanks! ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: New = Incomplete -- why do i have to run sudo dhclient eth0 everytime i had to got to internet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/384452 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
