today i receive the same message (exit 127) when i've tried to install the newest kernel 28-15-generic. i've seen during install that is because of a followup previous error. don't know which one, cant find log about that. After googling a little, i've removed/purged all kernel packages but image, then run dpkg-reconfigure -a reboot. Then i've tried to install again the new kernel, and no warnings appear; happy. What's the problem ? don't know but its off. Hi dino99, Is this still an issue for you? Your BootDmesg.txt file seems to indicate your running a newer 2.6.30 based kernel.
