Unfortunately I can not confirm whether this problem still persists in natty. The hardware configuration this bug occured on, does not exist any more. This bug report was filed against an old version of Ubuntu. Can you confirm whether this is still an issue in natty? I forgot to mention that the connection between the graphics card and the monitor has changed from analog to DVI (digital input). It also occured to me that the originally attaced screenshot looks perfectly normal, when the nvidia-driver is disabled.
