[Bug 391608] Re: UMTS Modem: network manager / pppd does hang up immediately after successful connect

2010-10-12 Thread Teej
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all
reported bugs in a timely manner.
There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and
your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a
lot if you could test the current Ubuntu version (10.10). If you can test it,
and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs
by running apport-collect bug #, and any other logs that are relevant for
this particular issue.

Hi, I did that that with the same result! So I can connect using
pppd/chat following the same instructions (changed only username and
phone number).

[Bug 391608] Re: UMTS Modem: network manager / pppd does hang up immediately after successful connect

2009-07-16 Thread Joe
Same issue with Verizon and EVDO. I can connect fine if I setup my own
pppd config file and chat script and run it from the command line.

Hi,

could you please post your pppd/chat config? I would like to check if I
can confirm the 'runs from command line' with my configuration.

thanks

please set your APN, username and password in the connection editor.
even though the values might not matter, its required for some modems to
