Public bug reported: Ubuntu version: Description: Ubuntu 9.04 Release: 9.04
When I'm using all 3 slots of the sound card for 5.1 surround speaker Ubuntu thinks I'm trying to use headphones and marks the headphones option in the sound mixer. I am not sure if it interferes with something but i just wanted to point this out. I can disable it manually. I am not sure if it automatically re-enables itself on start up due to inability to use a full Ubuntu installation (Not allowed) ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 AudioDevicesInUse: USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: ubuntu 4698 F.... mixer_applet2 Card0.Amixer.info: Card hw:0 'Intel'/'HDA Intel at 0xfb000000 irq 22' Mixer name : 'Realtek ALC662 rev1' Components : 'HDA:10ec0662,1458a002,00100101' Controls : 33 Simple ctrls : 17 CurrentDmesg: [ 86.892525] eth0: no IPv6 routers present DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 MediaBuild: Ubuntu 9.04 "Jaunty Jackalope" - Release i386 (20090420.1) Package: alsa-base 1.0.18.dfsg-1ubuntu8 PackageArchitecture: all ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: alsa-driver Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic i686 ** Affects: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- Sound card automaticlly selects headphone when using all of its 3 slots as salsaurround 5.1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/393210 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
