Public bug reported: Using Ubuntu version Heron 8.10. I was using the Internet when the whole system crashed. When I rebooted the computer initially it was not possible to use Google, Yahoo etc. The contents of my Bookmarks have been lost. I also note that it is no longer possible for me to create new folders.
I would be grateful for any guidance. Many thanks Sarah ProblemType: Package Architecture: amd64 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10 ErrorMessage: failed in buffer_write(fd) (10, ret=-1): backend dpkg-deb during `./usr/share/perl/5.10.0/Unicode/Collate/keys.txt' Package: perl-modules 5.10.0-11.1ubuntu2.2 PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: perl Title: package perl-modules 5.10.0-11.1ubuntu2.2 failed to install/upgrade: failed in buffer_write(fd) (10, ret=-1): backend dpkg-deb during `./usr/share/perl/5.10.0/Unicode/Collate/keys.txt' Uname: Linux 2.6.27-14-generic x86_64 ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-package -- internet crashed.
