dino99, Please attempt to reinstall apport using 'sudo apt-get install apport' it seems this is an issue in some of the latest updates. In the few cases I have dealt with, running the install has resolved the issue. Thanks for taking the time to report this; however, apparmor is not currently enabled by default in the karmic kernel, the kernel commandline doesn't contain the security=apparmor option that would enable it, and is reported as disabled by the AppArmor: AppArmor disabled by boot time parameter message in dmesg, so I don't believe this issue is related to apparmor. Reassigning to the kernel proper.
