This bug report has been inactive for quite some time and in the meantime Ubuntu has moved along. I hope the reported problem has been resolved in the current version of Ubuntu. If it has not and there are people willing to follow up with information collecting and testing, it is best to file a new bug report with the latest Ubuntu development version (10.04 still works, but soon 10.10 is better), using the ubuntu- bug command if possible. I have also seen this, the monitor blanks for a split second during normal use and then returns to normal. It occured only on DVI1, I never saw it happen on LVDS1. Could this be bug #275152 again? I had/have frequent monitor blanks on Jaunty. On Karmic, I saw it maybe five times since alpha 2. I'm having similar behavior on my laptop. HP6730b with Mobile Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD 9.04 jaunty kernel 2.6.28-13-generic Have a dual-head setup from a docking station (2 x HPLP2065 monitors) . Only affects the left hand monitor, which is the primary using the DVI output.
