I just updated the BIOS on my AOD150 to 1.13 (the latest available for the AOD150) and it solves the problem halfway - it now correctly does not do the lid-close action when you plug in etc, but it does not suspend properly when the lid is closed. Good enough for me... I had this problem on an Acer One AD250 with BIOS V1.03. The BIOS update from v1.03 to v1.27 works for me, too. And by works, I mean that the screen doesn't blank (or suspend) when I play with the power cable, AND the netbook will actually suspend properly on lid close now. I'm running up-to-date 9.10 on an AOD250, and it suspends whenever I plug or unplug the A/C adapter. I haven't noticed that it misbehaves when it becomes finished charging. Sorry for my very late reply to this ticket. It appears that on my Acer Aspire One (AOD150-1165) that whenever the power state changes it interprets it as the lid closed event. So, I simply changed that event to Blank Screen and now it harmlessly blanks the screen whenever the power state is changed. A small annoyance still since it doesn't seem to detect the actual lid close, but the screen is blanked by hardware when the lid is closed anyway.
