commit id there is : 71b738bf75a7660c15d22ea10eaba268cfec8db9 ; and that patch is already included on the gtksourceview 2.8.0-0ubuntu1 ; I've tested it and works fine no jitter this time. I was able to duplicate simply by opening a multi-line text document and double clicking to select various words/lines. The jitter only occurs when releasing a left-click (i.e., from a normal click or a select drag). Starman, I believe I have the same problem. Does the jitter also happen for you when you move the cursor with the arrow keys? Also, which fonts are you using? If I use the Liberation fonts, it does not happen.
