Gets me too with a Sprint Novatel Merlin S720. Worked fine before.. This is a major bug for me since I can no longer work remote with my Sprint Card... When I tried to click browse to attach, the system locked with caps lock and scroll lock LEDs blinking. Rebooted with the card already inserted, got lsusb -v -v, pulled the card, then launched firefox. Yes, I have reproduced this several times, all I need to do is to plug in the huawei E220 and attempt to connect with Networkmanager. The last working kernel I had was 2.6.31-3.19-generic.
