I don't have gpointing-device-settings installed as it is optional package. I have a workaround :) 1. run gconf-editor 2. on the left open desktop - gnome - peripherals - touchpad 3. on the right, mark the box tap_to_click 4. enjoy the tapping But why this in unchecked by default???
