[Bug 406426] Re: drop devicekit dependency
It's fixed upstream, can be fixed with bug #414239 (if the new version is approved): https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/packagekit-gnome/+bug/414239/comments/2 :) -- drop devicekit dependency https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/406426 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 406426] Re: drop devicekit dependency
For the record, this is my attempted debdiff. As already said, it doesn't build, though. ** Attachment added: "tentative patch" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/29669047/packagekit-gnome.drop-devicekit.patch -- drop devicekit dependency https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/406426 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 406426] Re: drop devicekit dependency
I posted the patch upstream. Unfortunately I cannot apply it to Ubuntu right now, since the package fails to build: gpk-check-update.c: In function ‘gpk_check_update_process_updates’: gpk-check-update.c:932: error: implicit declaration of function ‘ca_gtk_context_get’ gpk-check-update.c:938: error: passing argument 1 of ‘ca_context_play’ makes pointer from integer without a cast This is unrelated to dropping devicekit. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #590157 http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=590157 ** Also affects: packagekit via http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=590157 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- drop devicekit dependency https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/406426 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 406426] Re: drop devicekit dependency
I checked the code, and it seems that it is just a superfluous dependency in configure.ac and debian/control: $ grep -r '#include.*dev' . ./src/gpk-auto-refresh.c:#include -- drop devicekit dependency https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/406426 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
