[Bug 407597] Re: Failed to load x11 FrontEnd module

2015-09-29 Thread Mélodie
In Bento Openbox 14.04.3, this bug shows in the $HOME/.xsession-errors.

The real issue is that if there is no background on top of the root background,
the Openbox menu does not show. The issue is solved by removing the scim
packages:
scim
scim-gtk-immodule
scim-im-agent
scim-modules-socket

Once these packages are removed the Openbox right-click menu shows
again, even on a root background (which is sometimes desirable when it's
about reducing the load on the system by all means possible on old
computers).

Thanks for fixing it!

[Bug 407597] Re: Failed to load x11 FrontEnd module

2010-03-13 Thread Jeremy Foshee
Hi dino99,

Please be sure to confirm this issue exists with the latest development
release of Ubuntu. ISO CD images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If the issue remains, please run
the following command from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal). It will automatically gather and
attach updated debug information to this report.

apport-collect -p linux 407597

Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would
be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the
issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once
you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-
testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon
next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and
deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your
results.

Thanks in advance.

[This is an automated message. Apologies if it has reached you
inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]
