I tried installing karmic alpha6 deskop today on a jaunty kvm host and upon first boot the display is messed. It oscillates between a good display and a corrupted display with a frequency of about 3 seconds. See screenshot for the corrupted display. The installation of Jaunty i386 desktop succeeds in exactly the same environment and with the same install method.
