Thanks for your bugreport.

This is not a bug in update-manager, its more a question. Please boot
into recovery mode and use the shell there to do a chown root.root
/etc/sudoers

sudo: /etc/sudoers is owned by uid 1000, should be 0


I am getting this error and don't know how to chown this file to root

won't let me do any sudo anything.

chown -R root /etc/sudoers does nothing
