I used to have this bug when opening firefox via firefox -ProfileManager, then selecting and opening a profile made it crash. Andrea, you may be right about it being a conflict between ff3 and ff3.5 . When I upgraded to karmic from jaunty, f3.0 remained on my system and these crashes in ff3.5 happened. Not the case for me - these crashes happened on a fresh installation of karmic. When trying to report a bug even. Haven't even tried the upgrade method yet. Affermative, it seems profiles aren't the issue. I am able to reproduce it: - calling firefox -ProfileManager - calling ubuntu-bug firefox-3.5 anytime with firefox-3.0 profile, with firefox-3.5 profile or no .mozilla folder at all. It is definitely a firefox 3.5 bug.
