works (for me).

[Bug 414464] Re: controls fail to work in flash

2009-11-02 Thread anagor
As I wrote before, for me the workaround was to use the native 64bit flash
player from Adobe directly, it is in alpha stage right now, but I've found it
very stable and responsive, so no worries there.
You can get it from here: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer10.html
the download link is at the bottom.
but first you will have to remove the "flushplugin" that is already installed.

Extract the tar and the resulting "libflashplayer.so" you can put in either
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins - for a system wide access to the plugin, or in the
~/.mozilla/plugins - to have it only for your user.
restart firefox afterwards.

[Bug 414464] Re: controls fail to work in flash

2009-11-02 Thread NivekC1
The problem is indeed with Visual Effects. I have tried installing all
available 64-bit flash plugins and they all have the same problem except
for when visual effects are turned off. With no effects the work
flawlessly. My video is Intel 4500HD and I am using it via HDMI to my
LCD. I do not know a whole lot about how the effects work or why they
would cause this but I hope that we can get this resolved. I will help
in any way I can, test patches whatever just let me know.

it does not occur every videos at all but some of them.
also i realized that sometimes firefox completly frozen if you click one
controller. if you switch off the visual effects, then everything works fine.

[Bug 414464] Re: controls fail to work in flash

2009-10-31 Thread David Oxland
This only effects me when I have compositing turned on, when I go to system =>
preferences => apearence => visual effects and set it to none, it works fine,
but with Normal or Extra its broken, I'm gonna dig into the compiz settings
deeper, and see If I can fix it, but the default compiz settings fail
Same for me

[Bug 414464] Re: controls fail to work in flash

2009-08-29 Thread Stéphane Scot
I don't know what the problem was but it definitely wasn't firefox. I
tried new profiles, disabled extensions, &c. I then even tried Epiphany
and Konquerer with no luck so it had to be flashplugin. Then I
reinstalled karmic alpha4 from scratch(hadn't done a fresh install since
hardy). It still didn't work then but after updates yesterday or the day
before everything works again (for now * fingers crossed * ).

[Bug 414464] Re: controls fail to work in flash

2009-08-29 Thread anagor
I think the problem here is with nspluginwrapper.
I'm also on Karmic amd64, and the flash installed using flashplugin-installer
indeed does not register clicks, however using the native 64 bit flash plugin
downloaded from adobe directly works just fine.
So the problem probably is with the 32 bit wrappers, and not the firefox itself.

2009-08-22 Thread Micah Gersten
Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Sometimes Firefox profiles can become
corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. Could you please try this with a new
profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not need to delete your
old profile to test. If this helps, you might want to try to disable all your
extensions and re-enable them one by one until you find the problematic one.
