Public bug reported: Forgive me for filing a bug without knowing which package it belongs to. Can somebody help me? (see description below)
When installing Ubuntu Karmic from the daily build desktop-iso (386) yesterday (September 3rd), the hardware clock was set to UTC. When installing Ubuntu with the live-CD in a dual-boot setup with Windows, Windows sets the hardware clock to local time, and on the next boot to ubuntu fsck of the root filesystem will fail (probably depending on which time-zone you are on) saying some a timestamp is in the future. I am guessing this may (or may not) have something to do with bug #406211 causing the time zone selection during installation to fail. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- hwclock set to UTC when installing from live-CD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/424529 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
