Sure, I guess I should have written more in my initial report, I know better than that! Here is a more in depth run down of how I encounter the issue for now, and I'll look into running through some of the debugging procedures tonight. 1. I turn my computer on, boot with no issues into Ubunutu (only OS currently installed on the hard drive). Use the computer like normal, I don't do anything special or run any programs that are unusual. I have a local test LAMP server going I occasionally test small projects on, I run Deluge BitTorrent client from time to time, lots of surfing through FireFox and e-mail with Thunderbird. Really nothing out of the ordinary.I'll go to work or bed and leave the computer for any number of hours. 2. Well... I want it to be responsive when I come back to use it! ;) 3. About ~40% of the time I'll come back and the computer is non- responsive, doesn't matter if it's been an hour or 6... I don't really know how long it goes between working and not. I sometimes check my logs to see timestamps, but there isn't any pattern or event that seems to set it off (that I have noticed). I have the monitor set to turn off after 30 mins, the screen saver comes up after 10 mins.I usually test to see if it's working by pressing the Num Lock or Caps Lock to see if the lights will turn on/off on the key board. If they don't, I have to hard reset the computer. I've tried entering the CLI through Ctrl-Alt-F5 to reboot that way, but to no avail. The whole system is just locked.
