[Bug 437065] Re: after the login it requires to unlock the keyring

2010-02-21 Thread redman
WIth me, the problem only occurs with ubuntu when I use automated gdm login. I
solved it by removing ≃/home//.gnome2/keyrings/default.keyring and
restarting empathy, then the default keyring asks for a new pasword I use no
password (empty) and then it works, but when I fill in a password , it doesn't
works.
But I pressume this is bad for security considerations...

This bug was fixed in the package indicator-session - 0.1.7-0ubuntu1

---
indicator-session (0.1.7-0ubuntu1) karmic; urgency=low

  * Upstream release 0.1.7
* Changing the icon so that if you are disconnected it is
  'system-shutdown-panel' and making sure that we see it
  sometimes by not allocating the EmpathyAccountManager isn't
  allocated until status is set. (LP: #432635)
  * Also fixes by happenstance: (LP: #444170 and LP: #437065)
* Handling the locking of the screensaver so that we ensure
  the screensaver is active before suspending. Also, we
  throttle it to ensure it doesn't start until after suspend.
  (LP: #444391)
* Asynchronized the menu handling so that it's in the right
  order with async startup. (LP: #440484)
* String change, New Session to Switch User (LP: #94)
  * Removed debian/patches/switch_user_lp-94.patch

I had it too, but I workarounded it by deleting all accounts from
Empathy(I falled back to Pidgin since empathy cannot import Gadu-Gadu
contact list). Isn't telepathy framework running even before Empathy?
That would explain why it ask password on system start.

I agree, but I'm not sure how we're going to get around this one. All
we do is initialize the EmpathyAccountManager object which asks the
protocols their status. It seems that one of them is then logging in to
see if it's offline?

Can someone who's getting this try disabling a few accounts and see
which protocol is causing the issue?
