At this time there is a problem with mozilla-devscripts that needs to be addressed before i can package 1.0 since sunbird may never reach a version higher than a beta. Hi John. During all my tests, I've saw a difference between versions of lightning: generally I see into "thunderbird added components", that it's 2008091718 (build). But if I force installation of lightning component, web downloaded, it has build 2009040813. Which one is, in Your opinion, the right one? Thanks a lot. Hi John. I've tried to force upgrade of lightning into extension manager of thunderbird. It says me that lightning isn't upgradable, because installation is onto a read-only file system, but it isn't! The user owner of that directory, has all permissions. Only group and others have r+x as permissions. Do You think this may helps? Thanks. Lightning does NOT come installed in thunderbird nor in Ubuntu by default you have added it at one point and kept profile left over. I upgraded Thunderbird with the package of kubuntu distribution (8.10 -> 9.04); of course I've added some other extensions from web, but with this release of Thunderbird, it seems as the lightning extension comes natively and can only be actived or de-actived, but not removed (or it's impossible on my upgraded package...). Do You think it's a bug from "upgrade"? Thanks a lot.
