Re: [Bug 440969] [NEW] Return sound back in 2.6.30
I think you are better off letting the kernel team know about the PP regression, and request that they either get the fix if there is one available, or look out for the fix and get it into karmic ASAP. 2.6.30 is not a supported kernel version, so if you choose to use 2.6.30, we cannot certify that audio will work, i.e use 2.6.30 at your own risk. -- Return sound back in 2.6.30 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/440969 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 440969] [NEW] Return sound back in 2.6.30
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio So, 2.6.31 has horrible ppp regression, which makes it unusable for everyone using PPP (for example, in Russia most ethernet providers use VPN connections to share internet: pptp, pppoe, l2tp). Massive PPP regressions decrease traffic speed through it in 6 times with the comparison to 2.6.30. And I want to use 2.6.30, which hasn't these terrible issues. But it's no sound there: alsa sees soundcards, but pulse doesn't. Removing pulseaudio doesn't help. What can I do with it?
