Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubiquity

While it says "Creating user...", at about 83%, Ubiquity runs dd if=/dev/zero 
of=/dev/sdaX (I suppose it's zeroing a partition to further encrypt) and takes 
quite a while without warning the user.
The user should be told this operation will take several minutes.
