[Bug 442860] Re: broken package dependencies for amarok
Preface: sorry for prievious post, it was not deliberate: it was a colleagues' joke. Regarding this thread. I noticed that sometimes it's impossible to correct a missing deps. neither 'apt-get update', nor 'apt-get -f install' may solve the issue. (I had a lot of problem during upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10, for example) In this case I've been forced to delete the entry from /var/lib/dpkg/status file (amarok, in my case) and typing again 'apt-get update && apt-get upgrade' or just ... apt-get install . If I don't do this way, I cannot install nor remove something 'cause I should get the same error "The following packages have unmet dependencies: ... etc etc." Regards, -- broken package dependencies for amarok https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/442860 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to amarok in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 442860] Re: broken package dependencies for amarok
I can replicate this and I can confirm that this problem is specific to the mirror you are using (se.archive.ubuntu.com). Please use the official ubuntu mirror for now as there maybe synchronization issues between that and the official mirror. -- broken package dependencies for amarok https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/442860 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

@Lars: Try it again, the amarok-common build failed over the weekend which was fixed a few hours ago, please just wait for the mirrors to update. ** Package changed: ubuntu => amarok (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: amarok (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- broken package dependencies for amarok https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/442860 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to amarok in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

Try updating your list of available packages: sudo aptitude update If that didn't work, use a different mirror. -- broken package dependencies for amarok https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/442860 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
