[Bug 442860] Re: broken package dependencies for amarok

2009-11-02 Thread Gabolander
Preface: sorry for prievious post, it was not deliberate: it was a colleagues'
joke.
Regarding this thread. I noticed that sometimes it's impossible to correct a
missing deps. neither 'apt-get update', nor 'apt-get -f install' may solve the
issue.
(I had a lot of problem during upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10, for example)
In this case I've been forced to delete the entry from /var/lib/dpkg/status
file (amarok, in my case) and typing again 'apt-get update && apt-get upgrade'
or just ... apt-get install .
If I don't do this way, I cannot install nor remove something 'cause I should
get the same error "The following packages have unmet dependencies: ... etc
etc."

Regards,

2009-10-05 Thread Mike
I can replicate this and I can confirm that this problem is specific to the
mirror you are using (se.archive.ubuntu.com).
Please use the official ubuntu mirror for now as there maybe synchronization
issues between that and the official mirror.

@Lars: Try it again, the amarok-common build failed over the weekend
which was fixed a few hours ago, please just wait for the mirrors to
update.

Try updating your list of available packages:
sudo aptitude update

If that didn't work, use a different mirror.
