[Bug 445058] Re: package e2fsprogs 1.41.4-1ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade:
Looking through the log, several different things are core dumping throughout the upgrade. This could well be a sign of a memory problem; reboot your machine, hold SHIFT to get to the boot loader menu, and choose the Memory test option. If that's all ok, this could be a problem elsewhere, e.g. in the libc. I'm marking the e2fsprogs task as Invalid, but will stay subscribed to the bug - if it's not a memory problem, we'll try and isolate what the problem actually is - and go from there. Did you get apport messages for the core dumps btw? ** Changed in: e2fsprogs (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- package e2fsprogs 1.41.4-1ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/445058 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 445058] Re: package e2fsprogs 1.41.4-1ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade:
Looks like the shell running the pre-install script, or something run by the pre-install script, core dumped. There was nothing printed in the log, so it's hard to tell what's going on. -- package e2fsprogs 1.41.4-1ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/445058 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
